After receiving an RFQ with information on the requirements from our customers, we input this into ShopKeeper our MRP Software from Insite Software Solutions. This generates a quote and at the same time a part master. After receiving a purchase order we verify we have the correct revision of the print and possibly ask for a solid model if the part is sufficiently complex where it would speed the programming and accuracy of the machining.
Upon receipt of a PO, we review for consistency and agreement with the RFQ, quotation, and any intervening communications or clarifications that have taken place. Lead-time requirements are re-verified for feasibility with other staff, as needed.
At a minimum, the following items are verified for completeness and correctness, customer PO number, part number(s) and revision level(s), quantity, due date(s), pricing, taxable or resale status, billing address, shipping method.
We order the correct material with certs as per our purchasing process, ensuring that our suppliers can supply the product to meet our requirements. We evaluate our supplier on a regular basis to ensure this.

Parts are released to the floor with a job traveler that includes the information on the operations required to manufacture the part.
Continual improvement is our goal and the necessity for consistency of the manufacturing process. Material is inspected as it is received. Parts are inspected in process after each operation. A final inspection process is done before any outside processes are performed. and is repeated if needed when the parts are returned. All processes and procedures are documented in our quality manual can be provided on request.
Our Office Manager has been appointed as the management representative for quality (QMR). The QMR reports on the performance of the system and any needs for improvement. Our QMR is also responsible for promoting awareness of customer requirements.
